Anushka Sharma Birthday: 5 stellar performances of the diva to enjoy during lockdown

It is Anushka Sharma’s birthday today and the actress has been a part of the industry for more than a decade which makes her filmography a rather interesting one. The actress was last seen in Zero and ever since, she has been away from the movie screens. We have listed her 5 stellar performances to enjoy during lockdown.

On her birthday today, we thought we will list down 5 stellar performances of the actress that one can enjoy during this lockdown. (Now that it has officially extended) As one goes through the list, one can notice how she has to her credit a mix of films from different genres, and that just goes on to prove how she does not believe in getting stereotyped.

Here is a list of 5 films of birthday girl Anushka Sharma that one can watch amid lockdown:

1. Zero (2018)

Anushka did it again with another not so conventional role as she played Aafia, a scientist with cerebral palsy, a disorder that has rendered her to the wheelchair. While the movie did not do very well at the box office despite Shah Rukh Khan’s charm, Anushka did get applauded for her efforts and acting, and rightly so.

2. Sui Dhaaga (2018)

This Varun Dhawan co-starrer sees Anushka don the role of a villager, Mamta. The story narrates her journey of starting her own garment business, which eventually took her to a huge fashion competition, and what happens there, is as interesting as it gets. While the story will move you, what is interesting is the de-glam avatar that the actress has donned for this one, and how it is definitely going to have you glued on until the end.

3. Pari (2018)

Anushka hasn’t received her dues for this one just enough, and while I was made privy to it rather recently, I think this film of the birthday girl is one of the finest thrillers in Bollywood. Apart from Anushka’s acting, it also has the elements of a perfect thriller in terms of the setting, the tones on screen, and everything else.

4. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016)

A chic-flick that many of us have already watched more than just a couple of times, this movie with Ranbir Kapoor sees Anushka in another cliched character, but it is her acting chops that are sure to win your heart, and of course, the songs too. This one is not a story that is out of the box, but her acting and RK’s acting prowess, make ADHM one fine film.

5. NH10 (2015)

This movie of Anushka is a hit for more than just one reason. Apart from the fact that she acted in it, she also made her debut as a producer with this one, and she did a fair job at both. The crime-thriller is loved for its story and how it also picks up on an issue that raises questions before the society.
