The news of Ennio Morricone’s demise comes at a time when the entertainment industry is already reeling some major losses. The Oscar-winning Italian composer is truly the finest music creator, with some 500 films to his credit. He is popularly known for the score for spaghetti westerns.
Meanwhile, some of his popular works include The Untouchables, The Mission, and a few more. Reports suggest that Morricone passed away on Monday in Rome at the age of 91. The news about Ennio Morricone’s demise follows a fall he had last week which caused complications, as reported by Hollywood reporter.

For someone who has scored music in over 500 films, he deserves all the kind words pouring in. Also sending his prayers and kind words is maestro AR Rahman, who took to Twitter.
Mentioning some kind words, he went on to pen a little something for Morricone. He tweeted: Only a composer like # Ennio Morricone could bring the beauty, culture and the lingering romance of Italy to your senses in the pre-virtual reality and pre-internet era… All we can do is celebrate the master’s work and learn.

Among other Bollywood stars, Farhan Akhtar, Randeep Hooda, and a few others also took to Twiter to send their condolences. As Akhtar shared a track from Morricone, he wrote a few kind words too. He said: Sharing one of my favourites from a very long list of incredible film scores that have made so many movies memorable. This one is from ‘The Mission’.
The composer won an Academy Award for The Hateful Eight, a mystery thriller, that also won him a Golden Globe. During his career spanning years, he won an Oscar for lifetime achievement back in 2007. Morricone has to his credit, five Academy Award nominations, two Golden Globes, four Grammys, and many many other awards.
