Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan tests positive for COVID 19; Admitted to the hospital

As Amitabh Bachchan tests positive for COVID 19, he took to social media to announce the same. Soon after the tweet from the actor, prayers have been pouring in. Boney Kapoor, Ranveer Shorey, and a few others also replied to his Tweet, wishing him a speedy recovery.

Bachchan took to Twitter to announce the same. He wrote: I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!

Big B happens to be amongst the only few celebrities in India to have tested positive for the virus. Among the first few names, Kanika Kapoor was the first to test positive for the novel Coronavirus.

On the work front, we last saw Big B in Shoojit Sircar’s comedy Gulabo Sitabo. The actor played the role of an old tenant, Mirza. In fact, the movie has done well with the fans and got great reviews.

Meanwhile, India has now become the third highest country with maximum COVID 19 cases. The recorded positive cases every day seem to be on a rise. Currently, the number of positive cases has crossed 820k while the number of deaths is over 22,000.
