Coolie No. 1 Trailer: Sara and Varun bring out a modern version of the ’90s feel

Coolie No 1 is a remake of Varun Dhawan's film of the same name, featuring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles.

One has to be living under a rock if they don’t know about the Coolie No 1 trailer reveal. Featuring Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan, the movie is set for a Christmas release. A Varun Dhawan directorial, it sure has been quite the talk of B-town for a while now. And now, it is back in the conversation once again and how.

The trailer of the film is out now, and it has received interesting reviews so far, to say the least. Though not in favour of remakes of just about any and every film, a lot has to do with the intention behind it. While one may think that the movie simply aims to bank on the success of the earlier, it also has some modern-day entertainment. While the original Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer was in the ’90s, this one has a spin to it.

Before we talk further, check out the Coolie No 1 trailer here:

Well, on the surface, the movie is an absolute no brainer. However, I personally, wouldn’t be very happy about Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan doing such films. While the former is kind of underrated, the latter has set out off to a good start. Desi entertainers have always been a thing in Bollywood, and rightly so. However, with the way audiences perceive content now, not all are going to be welcomed.

The Coolie No 1 trailer seems like it has all the classic ingredients of a Bollywood hit. But, will it be? There have been so many films that tanked despite the big names, the mass appeal, and more! On weekend, if one wants to watch a quick film which requires no thinking, then this is it. In fact, it is a mix that is well-served! However, as we try to balance the kind of films we see, this may not make it to the cut. None the less, if it does, it won’t be for the ideal reasons. Having said that, there’s no dissing the movie just yet, or even later (hopefully), since it can be a decent just for laughs watch!
