The YouTuber and content creator did what she always does the best, and she seems to be winning all over the internet. She has received a lot of love and support post this step, and it seems like a welcome move for many. However, some do have mixed reactions to it.
Lilly decided to sport a mask at the Grammys 2021 red carpet which said: I Stand With Farmers. She also shared the post on her social media and it has been making headlines. Lilly wrote, ”I know red carpet/award show pictures always get the most coverage, so here you go media. Feel free to run with it #IStandWithFarmers #Grammys.”
Photos of the YouTuber have been doing the rounds on social media with everyone lauding her. However, the Canadian YouTuber is also at the receiving end of a lot of flak. While many feel it is important to support the cause, some feel it is just for attention.
Lilly Singh stands in support of farmers at the Grammys 2021:
Well, the cause of farmers has been in the news from time to time. It was only some time ago that the likes of Rihanna, Greta, and others stood up for the cause. While it did not end very well with the entire incident becoming a huge controversy, Lilly Singh’s support for the cause of farmers has gone just fine so far. Lilly, taking the cause at such a level sure stands for something. And if we see things at the face of it, it sure is a welcome move.

It's good that #lillysingh stands with farmers. (Most reasonable people who understand the dangers of contract farming in the Indian socio-economic background do.) But I wish her comedy was good. It just gets cringier by the day. There was a time when I liked her.

Thousands of farmers have been protesting at the border points of Delhi for the last three months. While several meetings have taken place, there has been no concrete result so far. Their demand is that the farm laws and legal guarantee on the minimum support price for their crops be repealed.
