Based on the book “When Dimple met Rishi” by Sandhya Menon, Mismatched on Netflix is a lot in a little. It traverses the journey of college students through love, life, and friendship. With a cast that features Prajakta Koli, Rohit Saraf, Rannvijay Singha, in pivotal roles, it is quite the must-watch, It also has Vihaan Samat, Taaruk Raina, Kritika Bharadwaj, Muskkaan Jaferi, Devyani Shorey, and Abhinav Sharma.
A lot about the series is what we know we will get, but then comes the timing at which things happen. I won’t deny that the series could have been a movie, but the duration is just about the same. However, none of it makes us want it to stop because we are left at quite the cliffhanger – one that we didn’t want. The series does have its own highlights, but none compare to the endgame!

Created by Akarsh Khurana, the series is one that I’d want to go on. Not only are the characters relatable, but there is something in it for everyone. Through the various characters, we are told a story that we have all lived at some point. Rohit as Rishi and Prajakta as Dimple are entirely different people, whose path collides and how. None the less, it doesn’t just stop there, and is nowhere close to all things happy!
Mismatched on Netflix is a slice of life series, a great watch, and one which does lead you to think about the smaller things in life. Right from career paths, to love and friendship, and so much more. For us, Prajakta is the star of the series and Rohit has done a great job. Rannvijay has his own charm throughout while everyone else adds their own flavour to it. There is a different kind of diversity in the characters and it is a great thing for the series.
With the way things end, all the praises it has garnered, and the adorable watch, we deserve a second season. For someone who was hooked to the series throughout, have to say that not very happy when it ended, and for so many reasons!
