Netflix India lineup 2021: New seasons for Mismatched, Little Things

Netflix India lineup 2021 is as interesting as it gets as it has Mismatched season 2, Masaba Masaba season 2, and more.

The Netflix India lineup 2021 has been officially announced and there’s a lot to be excited about. It was only a day ago that we got the list of March 2021 releases for the streaming platform. And now, there seem to be all the more reasons for the viewers to cherish the content the platform has for us.

As Netflix announces India lineup for 2021, we sure do have some of the much-awaited shows. While there are a handful of shows whose new seasons we’ve all been waiting for, there’s also fresh content. To summarize, the platform has announced over 41 films and shows for the year and we definitely can’t keep calm.

The films that are a part of Netflix India lineup 2021 are as follows:

Jadoogar: Features Jitendra Kumar and Arushi Sharma, looks like an interesting sports drama.

Sardar Ka Grandson: The film’s announcement came in rather recently and it is a cross-border love story. The film features Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Neena Gupta.

Penthouse: A psychological thriller directed by Abbas Mustan. The film will feature Sharma Joshi, Bobby Deol, and Arjun Rampal in lead roles.

Meenakshi Sundareshwar: The movie sees Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani in the lead roles and is a romantic comedy.

Pagglait: A part of the March 2021 release for Netflix India lineup 2021, the movie also sees Sanya in the lead role.

Jagame Thandhiram: This is a gangster film and will see Dhanush in the lead role.

Dhamaka: Featuring Kartik Aaryan in a thriller, this film is definitely a much-awaited one ahead!

Haseen Dillruba: Taapsee Pannu, Another thriller, this film will feature Vikrant Massey, Harshvardhan Rane, and Hansika Motwani. In fact, this sure is a much awaited movie on the platform!

The Disciple: Chaitanya Tamhane’s much celebrated movie will make it to the platform this year.

Bulbul Tarang: Sonakshi Sinha takes a lead in this social drama film.

Ajeeb Dastaans: Much talked about Karan Johar anthology will see a lot of stories unfold. It features Shefali Shah Manav Kaul, Nusrat Bharucha, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhishek Banerjee, Aditi Rao Hydari, Inayat Verma and Konkona Sen Sharma.

Milestone (Meel Pathar): A rather underrated upcoming release as far as Netflix India’s lineup for 2021 is concerned. The movie is made by Soni writer Ivan Iyer.

Navarasa: A Tamil anthology by Mani Ratnam, the film has a star cast as interesting as it gets. It will feature Revathy, Parvathy, Siddharth, Vijay Sethupathi, Prakash Raj, Vikranth, Gautham Karthik, Aishwarya Rajesh, Nithya Menen, Simha, Poorna, Ashok Selvan and Robo Shankar.

Moving onto the series that will be a part of the Netflix India 2021 lineup, let’s get started:

Little Things season 4: Could they get any cuter? The story of Dhruv and Kavya will move a step ahead as Dhruv Sehgal and Mithila Palkar return. While we have only heard about the new season, we’ll be seeing it soon after all!

Jamtara: Sabka Number Aayega season 2: Another much talked about series from Netflix, the series is based on a racket run from Jamtara. It features Sparsh Shrivastav, Anshumaan Pushkar, Monika Panwar, Aksha Pardasany, Amit Sial, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya.

Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives Season 2: The show narrates the daily life experiences of wives of Bollywood stars. It features Maheep Kapoor, Seema Khan, Neelam Kothari, Bhavana Pandey.

Masaba Masaba season 2: Another of the finest shows that many of us saw during lockdown, makers are back with Masaba Masaba. It features Neena Gupta and daughter Masaba.

Kota Factory season 2: Finally? The TVF show has been promoted and will now feature on Netflix as a part of the Netflix India 2021 lineup. It features Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Alam Khan, Jitendra Kumar, Ahsaas Channa.

She Season 2: Featuring Aaditi Pohankar and Vijay Varma, season 2 will see more to this erotic drama.

Mismatched season 2: We are interested to see Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf return with the show. In this case, as cheesy as it gets, we are all for it, aren’t we?

Delhi Crime Season 2: Also a much talked about Netflix original. The series narrates the events that went about during the Nirbhaya rape case. It sees Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, and Rajesh Tailang in lead roles.

Finding Anamika: Madhuri Dixit is all set to make her OTT debut with the show. The series will feature Sanjay Kapoor and will be a thriller, directed by Sri Rao.

Aranyak: Raveena Tandon will mark her digital debut with this female-led crime thriller. It will also feature Parambrata Chattopadhyay. This could sure be a great addition to the Netflix India lineup 2021.

Ray: Selected Satyajit Shorts: This is a homage to the storyteller that Ray was. It will feature short films from the finest creators. The films will feature a host of stars, including the likes of Manoj Bajpayee, Radhika Madan, and more.

Feels Like Ishq: A romantic comedy and an anthology, this could be a great great watch. The cast is as interesting as it could get.

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein: A dark comedy thriller, this is from the maker of Apharan. It features Shweta Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anchal Singh, Saurabh Shukla, Surya Sharma, Brijendra Kala, Arunoday Singh, Anant Joshi, Sunita Rajwar, and Hetal Gada.

Decoupled: From the writer Chetan Bhagat, the series will feature R Madhavan and Sruveen Chawla. To begin with, there’s at least one huge reason to look forward to this one as Netflix announces India lineup for 2021.

Mai: Produced by Anushka Sharma, the series will see Sakshi Tanwar in the lead role.

The Big Day Collection season 2: The show captures the essence of fancy Indian weddings. While the first season of The Big Day received its own set of criticism, it will be interesting to see what lays ahead.

Bombay Begums: The first season of Bombay Begums streams on women’s day and a lot of hopes ride on this one. Before even streaming, it looks like a series that will be celebrated!

Series, Documentaries, and comedy shows with Netflix 2021 India lineup!

Lastly, also a part of the Netflix India 2021 lineup, will be some comedy specials. They include specials from Aakash Gupta, Rahul Dua, Sumukhi Suresh, Prashasti Singh, Kapil Sharma’s show, and Comedy Premier League. Soon, everything will be on Netflix!
