Roohi trailer: Janhvi and Rajkummar receive mixed reactions to their horror comedy

Roohi trailer is out on YouTube and it has drawn quite the amount of attention. For the longest time, we have been hearing about the movie and more on it is finally here. It sees Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma in the lead roles. Directed by Hardik Mehta, Dinesh Vijan has produced the movie. Janhvi plays the titular role in the film.

Set in a fictional town of North India, the trailer sees two small-town boys stuck with Roohi in a forest. However, there is a spirit that seems to follow them and that is when it gets interesting. The trailer of Roohi may not be the best that we can do at horror-comedy, but we might want to give it a watch.

Not a lot of comments can be made as for the acting, but the look and feel of the movie seem good. However, we were hoping for a little more edge on the spooky front, and that could have been done better. Nonetheless, there’s no taking away credits for the effort.

Well, the reaction to the trailer so far has been mixed and some of them absolutely hilarious. Varun is definitely loved for his comic timing, however, Rajkummar and Janhvi have varied responses. On one hand, some feel that Janhvi in the trailer of Roohi is a treat to watch, while others feel she is rather bland. As for Rajkummar, some continue to feel that his bad acting days are not totally behind him.

However, since this is just a glimpse of what is to follow, we shouldn’t be too quick with our judgments. Much like a film that was as hilarious as Stree, we were hoping for more, true. Nonetheless, it has done justice to an extent, however, a long wait now awaits all the fans.

Roohi releases in cinemas on 11th March 2021.
