Paava Kadhaigal trailer: Truly a one of its kind for a first Tamil anthology

Paava Kadhaigal trailer released just today and it definitely makes for a bold and intriguing watch for a first Tamil anthology on Netflix.

Netflix released the Paava Kadhaigal trailer today, and it has been creating quite the waves. The cast includes Prakash Raj, Sai Pallavi, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Bhavani Sre, Simran, Kalidas Jayaram, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Anjali, and Kalki Koechlin.

It is the first Tamil anthology on Netflix and we must say, it is impressive. Apart from having some great actors, it also brings together some of the finest directors. Anthology films have become a thing, and this genre is one that sure has us hooked. Once we see glimpses of the stories, we also see words like Honour, Love on the screen. And well, that’s when it all begins to make sense as to what is likely to follow.

In fact, is interesting how the perspective that the film brings is fresh. Meanwhile, there are also more than just issues like cast, or religion. And well, one of the highlights seems to be how it explores the LGBTQ community as well, rightly so. While films today try to shove multiple aspects in the name of being bold, and modern, this film doesn’t. It truly is a one of its kind for a first Tamil anthology on Netflix.

As seen in the Paava Kadhaigal trailer, there is a sense of depth to the topics explored. Everything about this film is something that one is left thinking about. Be it the darkness, the societal views, and other things that it discusses. As a viewer, if watching quality content interests you, and you want to explore South films, this is quite the start.

While we are all looking forward to the work that the team has put up, it isn’t a long wait after all. The anthology film will be releasing on December 18 on Netflix. Apart from the fact that it is a first Tamil anthology on Netflix, the cast and direction is also what’s a highlight!
