Veteran Tamil actor Thavasi seeks financial aid in viral video as he suffers from Cancer

Over the past couple of months, we have seen many actors come out in public asking for financial support. While not everything that comes with the industry is glitter and gold, it came true for veteran Tamil actor Thavasi. He has been a part of popular films in supporting roles, however, he no longer is the same he looked on-screen.

It is through a video on Facebook that netizens discovered about his cancer. The video shows the veteran in a rather weak condition, fighting this battle alone, with no financial aid. For anyone who has seen him might not be able to recognize him for he is in a sorry state and needs help. Shot by a theatre actor, the video has been shot to gain funds for the actor’s treatment.

As per Galatta, he is saying: “In a career spanning over 30 years, I have acted in movies starting from Kizhakku Cheemaiyile to Annaatthe.” He also added how he never thought he’d be affected by such a disease. He said, ”I am not able to do anything. I am not able to talk properly. I request all my fellow actors in the industry and the people of the state to help me recover from this so I will be able to continue acting.”

Thavasi is popular for roles in movies like Azhagarsamyin Kuthirai and Varuthapadaadha Vaalibar Sangam, among others. Looking at the actor in such a dire state has indeed left fans and others rather shocked. While this is a concern for the family, we hope the actor and his family receive the support they need.
