Kangana Ranaut’s comparison to Meryl Streep come about her abilities, and her being raw talent. While there is nothing that we have to add to that, what we must discuss is the viral video of Meryl Streep’s speech from 2017. In the speech from the Golden Globes awards ceremony, she spoke about the word ‘outsider’. More than that, she also had some really strong points to make, points that we may find incredibly relevant, and equally significant.

One of the statements she made is how Hollywood is just a bunch of people from other places. While she said that, she also pointed out names of actors who may not belong to the country, but they are not outsiders. Among other things, she also spoke about the video where Donald Trump made fun of a disabled journalist, mentioning how that gives permission for other people to do the same thing. Another most important aspect of the speech was one where she spoke about privilege and how we need to be empathetic, and that is a part of the job as actors.
