What to watch this week: Brooklyn Nine-Nine to Asur, time to go back to the basics

With everyone working from home amid the pandemic, there happens to be a decent amount of time at hand. And so, people are always on the lookout for new suggestions. Hence, we picked out some of our classic favourites to make you the perfect what to watch this week list.

However, chances are, you might have watched many of the shows from this list. But, the idea here is to take you back to the basics, the good old shows that we have all enjoyed, or most of us have. Hence, the watch list for this week is not a list of new or upcoming shows, but already existing ones.

Let’s get you updated with our list of what to watch this week:

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

For starters, we have one of the finest TV shows, and my current watch, Andry Samberg and Melissa Fumero’s B99. The series is about NYPD detectives in the 99th precinct and everything that happens in here is worth your while. The central characters are Jake Peralta and Amy Santiago, while others include Captain Holt, Boyle, and a few others. It is a fun watch and takes you on a journey filled with a variety of emotions.

The Office

Now, second on our list of what to watch this week is Steve Carell’s The Office. If you ask me, I couldn’t get enough of all the hype about the show, until last month, when I finished it. The show is as simple as the name and revolves around co-workers and their boss. However, it is the format of the show that catches your eye. While it may take you a while to get habituated, once you do, there is no looking back.

Broken But Beautiful

Featuring Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi, the show is two seasons old and is a heartfelt one. An ALT Balaji original, it is sure to make you fall in love with love and much more. Why it has made it to our list of what to watch this week as a part of the basics is because we can all use some positivity right now.

Gossip Girl

Now this one is a very teenage kind of chic-flick and my guilty pleasure, to say the least. The series has been quite a journey for me, and it sure is going to be for everyone. If watching mean girls, cute boys, some fights and romance is your thing, this one is a good watch for you. A multi-starrer with the likes of Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, and others, you might get addicted.

Asur

Another Indian web show, the Barun Sobti, Arshad Warsi and Ridhi Dogra starrer is a masterpiece. While the show was underplayed with its trailers, etc, it turned out to be a great watch and one of our finest for that matter. If you enjoy crime thriller, spend some time watching it if you haven’t yet.
