#GoBackAmitShah Trends on Twitter before his visit to TN

BJP senior leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah is going to visit Chennai on Saturday, 21 November. And, from yesterday night, #GoBackAmitShah has been a top trend on Twitter.

Amit Shah is expected to meet the party representatives and take part in government events. The primary reason for the visit is to discuss the upcoming 2021 elections in Tamil Nadu.
We all know that BJP hasn’t succeeded to make even a dent when it comes to Tamil Nadu. Despite their dominance over other parts of the nation, BJP is yet to find a way to gather the majority of Tamil Nadu and acquire seats. In 2020, BJP has decided to conceive various ‘Hindu nationalist’ strategies to gather support, but the analysts believe it is not feasible in a state ruled by Dravidian parties.

Schedule for the Day

Amit Shah, who is going to visit the state after over a year, will be addressing the office-bearers and core committee of the state.

Further, Home Minister Amit Shah will start his visit by paying floral tributes to late veteran AIADMK leaders MG Ramachandran (MGR) and J Jayalalithaa at the Kalaivanar Arangam at 4.30 pm.

He will then lay foundation stones and inaugurate various developmental projects, like the Chennai Metro Rail Project Phase-3. Tamil Nadu CM Edapaddi Palaniswami and Deputy CM O Panneerselvam will also be at the event.

Shah will then have a meeting with the Tamil Nadu BJP unit’s office bearers and district presidents to strategize for the upcoming polls.
