Twitter Celebrates The First Century Of 2021 By Kane Williamson

Kane Williamson is on a roll. He not only scored a double hundred against Pakistan but has also become the first centurion of the new year.

The skipper of New Zealand, Kane Williamson becomes the first international centurion of the new year. He ended 2020 by claiming the No.1 spot in the ICC Test batting rankings. Kane Williamson was unbeaten on 112 from 175 balls at stumps on Day 2 of the second Test at Christchurch, a knock featuring 16 fours so far. After Pakistan’s first-innings score of 297, the black caps were in full control, having progressed to 286 for 3.

The Kiwi skipper raced from 78 to 94 in the 70th over of the innings, displaying aggression by smashing four fours to Naseem Shah. Kane Williamson soon brought up his 24th Test hundred by smashing Faheem Ashraf to fine leg for another boundary.

After scoring the hundred on Monday, Kane Williamson became the fourth New Zealander to score hundreds in three consecutive Tests. He joins Mark Burgess (1969-72), Ross Taylor (2013), and Tom Latham (2018-19)

Soon after his hundred netizens started trending Kane Williamson and started reacting on the first century of 2021.
