Ishmeet Chandiok quit 5-star hotels to become India’s first dog chef

As a chef, his love for cooking still reveals best. Since he loved his pet as much as his profession, Ishmeet decided to do something that could involve both. He started figuring out what he should cook for his pet, Harley.

Ishmeet Chandiok is very fond of his pet Harley. He is a former Five Star Chef and also an alumnus of the Hotel Management Institute in Mumbai.

Ishmeet has been progressively experimenting with various ingredients to prepare delicious food for his pet. It has been the foundation of what he does at present.

As a chef, his love for cooking still reveals best. Since he loved his pet as much as his profession, Ishmeet decided to do something that could involve both. He started figuring out what he should cook for his pet, Harley.

He is now numero uno dog chef developed a whole four-course menu for a dog, from meals to sweets, to desserts.

Ishmeet is a parent of two dogs, Harley and Pixie. He got his first pet in the year 2009.

Ishmeet was unfamiliar with pets at the start, and so he just began feeding Harley with daily canned dog food, but Harley desired to have variety of food.

Harley always loved Ishmeet’s home-cooked food, but he started to be leaner. Harley was, to his delight, was in finest form.

Soon after his realisation in his interest in serving pets with his delightful food, Ishmeet started cooking for other pet owners in Mumbai.

Everyone began to recognise Ishmeet as a dog chef. Soon after he began receiving calls from various region and became a social media sensation. He began his company, Harley’s Corner.

Ishmeet began supplying food via the prompt dabbawala of Mumbai in 2010. His company is growing and now he introduced a dry food product. He became India’s first dog chef soon after.

The food packets of Harley Corner have an expiration date of one year, when kept at room temperature, without preservatives or chemicals, and are distributed around the world.

He also noticed a lack of understanding regarding pet feeding, so he engaged in a course to study more about pet nutrition.
