‘Earth Fokus’, a start-up in Chennai is providing a solution to save wastewater. After the COVID-19 pandemic hit worldwide we are suggested to take precautionary measures and the first and most important step is to wash our hands frequently.
The population globally is washing their hands at least 20 times a day. Hence, water consumption is extreme and wasted in huge amount.
Here is a solution to this problem, buy this smart eco-friendly adaptor to save about 95 per cent of the water which are unused.
Arun Subramaniam and Roshan Karthik, two young founders of ‘Earth Fokus’ who are graduated from Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) came up with this innovation. These adaptors can be added to the taps at your house.
The start-up was founded in the year 2017 and the products that they came up with is Quamist and Ecomist will help save water.
The adaptor can convert a droplet of water into many droplets. As the tap that is usually used in the households will provide up to 10-15 litres of water in a minute however the product the start-up came up with can produce over 500 millilitres per minute.

The main aim is to save water that is going into the drain, especially, during the pandemic. As the virus cannot be expected to go away soon.
Every time each person washes their hand a lot of water is wasted as it is unused and it is going to the drain. The durability of this product is about 5-6 years.
To main the sustainability method the start-up has used product eco-brass to manufacture the product.
In future, the start-up plans to expand product widely and produce them in larger quantity. They also plan to innovate to help in sectors like health and others.
The team is all set to expand its products abroad. Also, plans to provide the products to the schools of rural India.
