A former cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar helps underprivileged children. He has financially supported over 100 underprivileged children across six states in partnership with Ekam foundation to treat the children suffering from critical ailments.
The Ekam foundation aims children to receive proper treatment in government and other hospitals with needful facilities.
Sachin Tendulkar helps underprivileged children in association with the foundation in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, and Karnataka.
Underprivileged Children with critical ailments and facing financial to afford basic medical support is now receiving help from Tendulkar’s foundation.
Ameeta Chatterjee, Managing Partner, Ekam Foundation said, “The association with Mr Sachin Tendulkar through his foundation has been very fruitful and Sachin has done some very good work in the healthcare space. The association has worked towards providing quality healthcare for the underprivileged.”
Sachin Tendulkar earlier had helped with paediatric equipment Makunda Hospital in Assam. The support from Tendulkar may benefit over 2000 children every year. He has also been in an initiative with UNICEF on World Children’s Day, supporting children in shaping their future.
A 47-year-old, Sachin Tendulkar is a former Indian national team captain.
