In a first, Bihar movie theatre offers lifelong free tickets to Indian soldiers

In order to avail the privilege, all a soldier has to do is provide the identity card at the booking counter or provide the details while booking online.

In a first, a movie theatre in Bihar is offering movie-entertainment for Indian soldiers, free of cost for lifelong.

At Patna-based Regent Fun Cinema Theatre in Bihar, this first of its kind facility would be offered to Indian soldiers — either in service or retired for lifelong — starting January 1, 2021. The personnel of all three wings Indian armed forces — Air force, the Navvy and the army — will be provided film tickets free of cost.

In order to avail the privilege, all a soldier has to do is provide the identity card at the booking counter or provide the details while booking online.

Suman K Sinha-the  owner of Regent Cinema Theatre said that this initiative has been taken to honour army personnel who fight for our country, and ensure that they can watch cinema here for free for a lifetime, reported The New Indian Express

There are over 1200 army personnel besides thousand of ex-servicemen in the state, in the Danapur army regiment alone, who can avail the facility.

“This is the first such move in the entire country in honour of soldiers on the part of an owner of Regent Fun Cinema hall. It shows patriotism and needs salutation”, said an ex-army man Ram Raja Rai.
