Are you a Potterhead? If yes, your journey at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry must have been phenomenal.
Did you enjoy your classes with Hagrid? Did the class with Professor Lupin, the one with the Boggart, amaze you?
Headmaster Dumblebore must have shielded you from all the evil in the castle. Did you get into a tiff with Malfoy? I hope not.
You must have found a great friend in Harry. All of us have.
Did Ron make you laugh when you felt low? I hope you got some help from Hermione, when it came to academics.
When you were around Fred and George, there was not a dull moment. I know it.
Well, if you are a Potterhead, you must have experienced all this in the form of the books and the movies. A big part of all Potterheads’ childhood revolves around the magical world.
It was the same for little Emrie, only she was visually impaired. Emrie is a Potterhead too, but she has only heard the dialogues in the movie.
This Christmas, Emrie’s family gifted her the entire Harry Potter series in braille. A video of the little girl opening the gift is being on social media after it was posted on Instagram.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who donated and made this Christmas extra special for my niece Emrie! As you can see she is beyond excited to be able to read the Harry Potter books herself!” wrote Emrie’s aunt Katelyn.
The little’s girl’s uncontrollable joy upon receiving the gift is contagious. Her exclamations of surprise, that rings in our ears even after the video is over, is a reminder that even though 2020 wasn’t such a great year, there were surely little happy moments we can hold on to.
Little Emrie will finally read the books and we are overjoyed.
