Technically next month, Elon Musk will be the richest person on Earth when his space rival and actual richest person on Earth, Jeff Bezos will be flying into space. Jeff Bezos is all set to take his maiden flight to space on July 20. Earlier this month, he had announced that he will venture into space onboard New Shephard, the rocket system developed by his space company Blue Origin.

However, amid all this, two petitions have emerged online where people are asking the billionaire to not come back forever on the earth. This happened after Bezos announced he is going to space. The title of one of the petitions reads Do not allow Jeff Bezos to return to Earth”. It says “Billionaire’s should not exist… on Earth, or in space, but should they decide the latter they should stay there (sic).”

Another petition with the same goal has received over 20,000 signatures. “Jeff Bezos is actually Lex Luthor, disguised as the supposed owner of a super successful online retail store. However, he’s actually an evil overlord hellbent on global domination,” the petition reads. “We’ve known this for years.”

Further, the petition even goes on to say that Bezos has worked with the Knights Templar and the Free Masons to control the world.

“He’s also in bed with the flat earth deniers; it’s the only way they’ll allow him to leave the atmosphere. Meanwhile, our government stands by and lets it happen. This may be our last chance before they enable the 5G microchips and perform a mass takeover.”

Why is Jeff Bezos going to space?

Earlier this month, on June 7, Bezos announced New Shephard, the rocket system developed by his space company Blue Origin will be taking its maiden flight to space on July 20. July 20 also marks the 52nd anniversary of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin’s moon landing.

“Ever since I was five years old, I’ve dreamed of traveling to space. On July 20th, I will take that journey with my brother. The greatest adventure, with my best friend,” Bezos posted on his Instagram account earlier this month.

Having said that, Bezos won’t be flying alone into space. He will be accompanied by his brother and the winner of the auction who will be paying $28 million to fly with Bezos. The paid amount by his brother will be donated to Blue Origin’s foundation called “Club for the Future” which aims to inspire future generations to pursue careers in STEM.

Just if incase you guys are thinking to sign the petition as well or want to have an eye on the same, here’s the link. The target of the petition is 150,000 signatures and currently, it is heading towards the 117,000 mark.
