PM Modi launches four-day ‘Tika Utsav’

Prime Minister Modi on Twitter wrote, “Today, on the occasion of Jyotiba Phule Jayanti, we are starting countrywide ‘Tika Utsav’. This exercise will run till April 14, the event of Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti. This celebration is, in a way, the beginning of another major war against Corona.”

Prime Minister in ‘Tika Utsav’ said: “We have to give special emphasis on personal hygiene as well as social hygiene”.

The Prime Minister reiterated the need to take four things to fight against the COVID-19: ‘Each One Vaccinate,’ ‘Each One-Treat One,’ ‘Each One-Save One’ and ‘Micro Containment Zone.’

“In these four days, at the individual level, at the level of society and the level of administration, we have to make our own goals, we have to make every effort to achieve them. I am confident that in the same way, with public participation, being aware and fulfilling our responsibility, we will be able to control the corona once again. Remember — medicine as well as rigour.”

The Prime Minister explained the formulation “Each One Vaccine One,” and called for people to assist the less educated, the elderly who cannot go and vaccinate themselves.

Advising people of his “One One-Treat One” call supporting people who have no proper services and are not conscious of the problem to provide COVID service to all.

In his formula “Each One-Save One,” the Prime Minister stressed that “I can wear a mask and save myself and others.”

Prime Minister mentioned the fourth important thing, the people should be responsible for the creation of a “Micro-containment Zone,” if anyone is COVID-19 positive.

Modi said that our performance depends on how conscious we are of the ‘microcontinent zone.’

In our heavily populated nation the micro containment zone is also an effective means of fighting corona, the Prime Minister said, adding: “It’s very important that we are aware of the situation, and test other cases.”

“There should also be vaccinations for the individual eligible to be vaccinated. Society and government must make all the effort.

Modi also emphasised that there should be “zero vaccine waste”: “We must ensure that a single vaccine is not lost. We must transition to zero vaccine waste.”

“We must make optimal use of the country’s vaccine resources during this period. This is also a way to develop our capabilities.”
