Netizens moved after a picture of an on-duty cop comforting a crying baby as its mother voted at a polling booth in the Tamil Nadu elections went viral on social media. The constable, who was deployed from Anantapur district, was captured in a camera with a one-month-old baby in his arms, revealed Andhra Pradesh Police.
The Tamil Nadu cop willingly took care of and comforted the crying baby while the mother went to cast her vote. “AP Police’s humane face at #TamilNaduElections: Anantapur Police constable deployed for Tamil Nadu Elections 2021 carried and lulled a one-month-old crying baby until the mother’s return from the voting booth, winning the hearts of many,” the tweet by Andhra Pradesh Police read.

On April 6, voting across 234 Assembly constituencies in 38 districts of Tamil Nadu was held, where the state saw 62.86% voting till 5 pm. The results are scheduled to be declared on May 2.
