Coming into the new year along with the globally spread coronavirus, there came some new events which put us through all kinds of emotions. As we know that there are threats of a new variant and several other diseases that are spreading, people are afraid but still, they are making sure that they don’t forget to have a good time. Amidst all this, there are certain events that happened that drew India’s focus immediately.

The Advocate Prashant Bhushan shared screenshots of alleged leaked WhatsApp chats been Arnab Goswami, the executive editor at Republic TV, and the former CEO of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) Partho Dasgupta, who is accused of the TRP scam. In a tweet, Prashant Bhushan stated that “These are a few snapshots of the damning leaked WhatsApp chats between BARC CEO & #ArnabGoswami. They show many conspiracies & unprecedented access to power in this govt; gross abuse of his media & his position as a power broker. In any Rule of law country, he would be in jail for long.”

Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that the minimum marriageable age for a woman should be raised from 18 years to 21 years. This change came from the awareness from a program for crimes against women “Samman.” Further, he also announced a new system that will be put into effect in which any woman that leaves her house for work will register herself at the local police station and will be tracked for ‘safety.’ The one thing wrong with this entire statement of expected change is that tracking any individual is inherently an invasion of their privacy.

Yesterday, Amazon Prime released its political drama web series ‘Tandav’. However, netizens are not happy with the web series. Want to know why? Well, the web series has been allegedly accused of defaming ‘Hinduism’ and glorifying the JNU incident. ‘Nostalgic 90’s!’ Videos of the legend Lucky Ali singing ‘O Sanam’ is winning a lot of hearts on social media. For the first time in 1996, this song made its way into millions of hearts. Lucky Ali revived the popularity again in 2020 after the singer’s friend and actor Nafisa Ali shared a video of him singing ‘O Sanam’ at a concert in Arambol Village, Goa. Manoj Bajpayee took to social media on 13th January to announce that the trailer will be out on 19th January. This new season is going to be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The first season of The Family Man premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 20th September 2019, it has been a worthwhile wait, now that the new season is going to be out pretty soon.



Netflix has finally released the first trailer of To All the Boys: Always and Forever, which is the third installment of the globally popular movie To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before which sweet intense flick based on the book with the same name by Jenny Han. The Sequel to the first movie To All the Boys. P.S. I Still Love You was a massive hit as it introduced a complicated scenario with the arrival of a romantic rival John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher), amidst the continuing relationship between Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky. To All the Boys 3 will premiere on 12th February, which is perfectly in line with last year’s release of P.S. I Still Love You.



‘Confessions of a Romantic Asexual’ a poem by the actor of ‘Kumkum Bhagya and ‘Dil Se Di Dua… Saubhagyavati Bhava,’ Sriti Jha has been going viral on social media. The video from 2020 is being shared by audiences and her fans widely on all social media platforms. From the Spoken Fest in Mumbai in January 2020, shows Sriti passionately rendering a poem on being a romantic asexual. Sriti also addressed how when people are talking about the Me Too movement and consent she has ‘learned to lie in words and in moans.’
