Check out Marvel’s heartfelt tribute to late ‘Black Panther’ star Chadwick Boseman

Hollywood actor Chadwick Boseman, best known for his role as the superhero Black Panther, passed away at the age of 43 and his sudden demise came as a shock to many. For the unversed, Chadwick had been battling colon cancer since 2016. The official statement on his Twitter account read as, “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and battled with it these last four years as it progressed to stage IV.”

The statement further mentioned, “A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.”

Now in a heartfelt way, Marvel Studios has paid tribute to the late actor with a video that will make your teary-eyed. The video has his Black Panther co-stars and colleagues in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Kevin Feige, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Ryan Coogler, Michael B Jordan, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, as they all remember him.

The video was captioned, “You will always be our King.”

Clearly, Hollywood has been taken by shock and grief over the sudden demise of Chadwick Boseman. His legacy of work and the cultural shift he had brought has been praised by one and all. Not just Marvel Studios, Chadwick Boseman also received a one-minute tribute at MTV Video Music Awards.

Talking about his career, the actor became a global phenomenon with his titular superhero role in 2018 film Black Panther. He was also seen in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame while his last film was Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods. Chadwick Boseman had started his career with TV shows like Law & Order, CSI: NY and others.

He is survived by his wife, singer Taylor Simone Ledward.
