Bhaag Beanie Bhaag trailer: Swara Bhasker’s journey as Beanie is one you’d want to sit through

-

Netflix released the Bhaag Beanie Bhaag trailer today. It features Swara Bhasker in the lead role along with Varun Thakur, Dolly Singh, and others. The series sets out to narrate the story of Beanie Bhatnagar, who is leading a monotonous life but decides to discover herself. For once, she runs from her wedding and decides to do things for herself, and that’s where it all starts.

The trailer isn’t dramatic and that is one of the best parts about it. Though the premise does make it looks like an Indianised version of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, it is not. As viewers, we’d want to watch this series independent of the show, and we’ll be good to go. There might be something borrowed, but it certainly isn’t a rip-off.

Check out the Bhaag Beanie Bhaag trailer here:

Now, one of the highlights of the series is, of course, Bhasker herself. While we don’t see her go OTT at any instance, Varun as the fiance does. None the less, it is just how the character seems to be written so we can’t blame anyone. There are a lot of things to like about the series if we don’t make constant comparisons. However, what we dislike comes in much later, once the show is out.

Slated for a release on December 4, the Bhaag Beanie Bhaag trailer seems to be a laughter riot, and much more. Through this short trailer, we get to see a little bit of the stand-up, some pushing, and of course, the possibility of another love story. While there are some classic Bollywood-like tropes here, it seems to be a watch that we’d enjoy, and like to sit through! While it may seem a rip-off, for us, it looks like a fresh something that we want to wait out for a proper watch.
