Ramayan returns to TV: Twitter gaga over 2020 happening all over again

-

Ramayan returned to television, this time on Star Bharat, and well, it looks like Twitter can't keep calm about it. Read on Platocast.

As Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan returns to TV, it looks like netizens are quite losing it. The second wave of Coronavirus has taken a toll on everyone. While we are trying to keep up with what is going on, some can’t help but point the irony!

We all remember how there was an overflow of reports talking about how Ramayan returns to TV last year? Well, it is here all over again. It looks like that is probably the best way to keep everyone home after all. Last year, the TRPs of the reruns of Ramayan was skyrocketing. It will be interesting to see how it does this time around. The show will be airing on Star Bharat this time around, and it has Twitterverse reacting already.

The show features Arun Govil as Ram along with Dipika Chikhlia as Sita and Dara Singh as Hanuman. Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan had been a forever favourite and the same was proven last time around. On April 16 last year, Ramayan went on to become the most-watched show with 7.7 crore viewers. As Ramayan returns to TV once again, we wonder what will the response be this time around!

Of all things that are being talked about, netizens can’t help but notice how this is 2020 all over again. While some pointed out how since it is lockdown all over again, they are back at watching Ramayan reruns. Meanwhile, others also do have quite the fun inputs to give. Not to forget, a handful of people seem to be genuinely happy about Ramayan returning to television.

Check out what Twitter has to say about Ramayan returning to TV:

Ramayan first broadcasted from January 25, 1987, to July 31, 1988. It then aired at 9:30 am on every Sunday on TV. Well, we hope this isn’t totally a return or re-return of all things 2020, even though it may look like it!
