Out of Love season 2: Disney+ Hotstar

The show’s first series hit the screens in 2019. The movie is an adaptation of the show, Doctor Foster. It has two of the finest stars, Rasika Dugal and Purab Kohli in the lead roles. If you haven’t watched the first season, you must give it a shot. The story last saw Meera divorcing her husband Akarsh due to an affair. What goes about when Akarsh returns to Meera and son Abhi’s life is what the second season is about. The series started streaming on April 30 and hence, must be added to what to watch in first week of May!

Nomadland: Disney+ Hotstar

Nomadland has won the Oscar for best movie, best actress, as well as best director. So, if you are not adding this to your what to watch in first week of May 2021 list, why are you watching anything at all? The movie stars Frances McDormand, David Strathairn, and Linda May in the lead role. While Frances won the best actress, Chloe Zhao took home the best director trophy at Oscar 2021. The movie is narrated by a book in the same name, and narrates the story of Americans who got hit by the Great Recession. The movie is everything you want to watch as a woman, and more importantly, as a human.

The Disciple: Netflix

The Disciple has earned a number of honours, and it is a story that sure deserves your watch. Directed by Chaitanya Tamhane, the film narrates the story of a classical vocalist, Sharad. His journey of learning the art, following the traditions, and discipline is what the film narrates. If anything, the movie wins your heart and how!

Vakeel Saab: Amazon Prime Video

This one features Pawan Kalyan in the lead role and for once, it is a Bollywood remake. The movie is based on Amitabh Bachchan’s Pink and also features the likes of Prakash Raj, Shruti Hassan, and others. We all know the story of Pink, but it is the acting that makes this one a must-add to your what to watch this weekend!
