The weekend is here and so is the age-old question – What to watch this weekend? Friday has just begun and guess how many options do you have to choose from? Three from us today, all fresh releases. And yes, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is a part of it.

If you are looking at watching a movie, then Mortal Kombat may be a good option. If you have been a Game of Thrones fan, you may enjoy Shadow and Bone. And finally, you can watch the much-talked-about Marvel series – The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

All three of them are each of a different kind and may interest you depending upon your taste.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

It is undoubtedly one of Marvel’s most-loved series. It aired its finale episode today and there have been mixed reviews so far. Nonetheless, twitter seems to have given quite the positive things to say. As for their The Falcon and the Winter Soldier reviews are concerned, you could use some of these to help you make the decision. The story is basically one where we see Falcon and the Soldier team up for an adventure. However, the catch is that they aren’t fit together and have a hard time working with each other.

The first episode of the series aired on March 19, 2021, and today, April 23, 2021, saw the finale. You can stream The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ Hotstar.

Shadow and Bone

There have been major comparisons between the show and Game of Thrones. However, it looks like this Netflix show has managed to do pretty well in its own way. Shadow and Bone is the story of a fantasy world with dark forces in a country called Ravka. A woman named Alina Starkov discovers that she may be Grisha, the one who created the Fold and has powers to destroy it as well. In order to set the world free, the orphan takes on the journey, and what follows consists of the story. Meanwhile, there are also additional sub-plots with a heist being run by a bunch of kids and some men on the boat.

Talk about Shadow and Bone’s reviews, it seems to be doing well on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes. The show has an average audience score of 97% while an IMDB rating of 9.0/10 with 238 reviews. The show is now streaming on Netflix.

Here’s what Twitter has to say:

Mortal Kombat

Everyone is familiar with this movie, and unless you live under the rock, you may know it too. Mortal Kombat is an adaptation of a video-game series by the same name. In addition, it is also a reboot of the film series from earlier. The movie is directed by Simon McQuoid and deals with a universe that has 18 realms. As the name suggests, the film is about a tournament where one has to conquer each realm by conquests between the warriors.

The movie has released in 4 states in India in cinemas. Meanwhile, one can also stream Mortal Kombat on HBO Max. Talk about the reviews of Mortal Kombat, it is rather decent with 43& on Rotten Tomatoes and 5.8/10 on IMDB.

Here’s what Twitter has to save about the movie: (Mind the spoilers that may drop in!)

Among other available options for what to watch this weekend, you have a couple of more shows. You may be interested in Ajeeb Daastaans, if you haven’t yet, or even Saina, if you didn’t see it in theatres. Other suggestions include Main Hero Boll Raha Hu and Kathmandu Connection.

So, what’s your pick for the weekend watch?
