#IndiaChoked trends on Twitter after people started sharing the devastating situation from all around the country.

In the last 24 hours, India recorded over 370k cases with more than 3500 deaths. Even though India’s recovery rate is 99%, the number of daily cases and deaths is increasing day by day. Such mounting numbers are not only worrisome but also indicate how badly the Indian government has failed us in every possible way. Right from the health care system to governance, the ruling government has tremendously disappointed us. Every day there are several incidents of deaths that come to light. The situation is so frightful and ghastly that experts have predicted that India is heading towards an apocalypse in between May and June. We have reached a point where social media has become our savior. Whether it’s the information related to Covid resources or sharing condolences, netizens have truly supported each other in such a difficult time. However, there are various Covid hashtags every day that trend on Twitter, and today its hashtag #IndiaChoked.
