Indians call out international media for not reporting on overcrowding at UK’s Wembley Stadium, compare it to Kumbh Mela incident

-

A picture of overcrowding England fans at UK Wembley Stadium has gone viral and Indians demand justice by comparing it with the Kumbh Mela instance.

On July 8, England crushed Denmark’s hope of reaching the final for the first time. After England beat Denmark by 2-1 England fans couldn’t believe that their home team is in the final of the Euro 2020. However, apart from the match, a picture from Wembley Stadium UK is getting more attention right now. Want to know why? Well, the picture shows a jam-packed crowd celebrating England’s victory over Denmark.

Having said that, the picture has been getting flak because of the Covid protocol violation. This comes at a time when UK’s Covid-19 cases are again on the surge. Soon after the picture went viral, some Indians started calling out International media for not reporting the instance and also compared it with Kumbh Mela.

  1. The western media like BBC, The Guardian, The Economist etc are inherently biased against India and will exaggerate all negative developments to portray India in a poor light. What they cannot stand is that a country that once was a bread basket case is fast emerging as an economic juggernaut and can do nothing to stop it. By 2030 India is on a trajectory that will make the world’s third largest economy surpassing all western economies except USA. The western media find it unpalatable. The best they can do is slag India at every opportunity. India’s per capita death rate and infection rate through Covid is less than USA, U.K., Italy, Brazil and countless others. Yet India is portrayed as a living hell with graphic pictures of funeral pyres and patients awaiting treatment in hospitals. Sooner they come to terms with India’s rise, better they will be able to face reality.
