Yoga is an age-old tradition followed by people across the globe to keep themselves healthy – physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically. If done with consistency, yoga can be the perfect exercise for your mind, body and soul. It was during his 2014 address at the United Nations General Assembly that Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared June 21 as International Yoga Day.
Now as we celebrate the day today, let’s not forget that the form of exercise is not only popular in India but also around the world. And guess what? Our very own Bollywood celebs too practice yoga to stay fit, healthy and happy. From Shilpa Shetty Kundra to Malaika Arora and Kareena Kapoor Khan,
let’s take a look at Bollywood divas who swear by yoga as they celebrate the International Yoga Day today:
Shilpa Shetty Kundra
Shilpa has been practising yoga since 18 years ago to cure and is an ardent practitioner of ‘Ashtanga Yoga’, which literally means ‘eight-limbed yoga.’ She has time and again asserted the benefits of this age-old tradition and today, Shilpa took to her social media handle to post, “Asato Maa Sad-Gamaya | Tamaso Maa Jyotir-Gamaya | Mrityor Maa Amritam Gamaya | Om Shanti Shanti Shanti hi.”
Just like Shilpa. Jacqueline’s feed too is full of different yoga poses.
