Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is known to speak her mind when it comes to issues of national interest. Now days after she called out Bollywood celebs for speaking on ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement while staying silent on national incidents such as Palghar Sadhus lynching, she has lashed out at them again for keeping mum on the killing of 40-year-old Ajay Pandita, a Kashmiri Pandit sarpanch, who was shot dead by terrorists in Anantnag.
While expressing her anger and grief on his death, Kangana slammed the B-town stars for their ‘selective secularism’. In a video message shared by Kangana’s team on social media, the actress can be seen saying, “Inki manavta tabhi phooti hain jab uske peeche kuch Jihadi agenda ho,” reiterating her previous claims that the so-called liberals and intellectuals only react to topics with Jihadi agendas rather than speaking a word of condemnation against such gruesome incidents.
Holding a placard which read as, “I am Hindustan I am ashamed #JusticeForAjayPandit Murdered in Anantnag Jammu and Kashmir,” Kangana demanded justice for Ajay Pandita and other Kashmiri Pandits by saying, “Panditon ko Kashmir wapis bheja jaye, unko zamin wapis ki jaye, Hinduism ki sthapana ki jaye or Ajay ji ka balidan vyarth nai jana chahye.” She also requested PM Narendra Modi for to help Kashmiri Pandits reach their homelands.

For the unversed, Ajay Pandita, a Congress member and sarpanch of the Lukbawan Panchayat halqa in Larkipora area in Anantnag district, was killed by terrorists in his native village at around 6 PM on Monday. His final rites were performed on Tuesday and the people, who gathered at the Shaktinagar cremation ground, shouted slogans against Pakistan and terror outfit The Resistance Front (TRF). In fact, members of the Kashmiri Pandit community even protested against authorities’ failure to protect Ajay Pandita despite the threats.
Meanwhile, apart from Kangana, actor Anupam Kher, a Kashmiri Pandit himself, echoed a similar feeling on Ajay Pandita’s death and spoke against the ongoing atrocities.
Deeply saddened & angry at the merciless killing of the lone #KashmiriPandit sarpanch #AjayPandita in Anantnag yesterday. My heartfelt condolences to his family. There is an obvious silence from the usual suspects who cry their heart hoarse otherwise. #JusticeForAjayPandita pic.twitter.com/5TnLpABOh2

Not to miss, Kashmiri Pandits have been suffering for long ever since they were forced to flee the Kashmir valley as a result of being targeted by JKLF and Islamist insurgents during late 1989 and early 1990.
