Today in 2011 India created history by lifting the world cup after 28 year years. It was one of the most glorious moments in the history of Indian cricket. The 2011 world cup was a special event for the Indian cricket team because India was hosting the world cup and also 2011 world cup was the last time we saw Indian ace cricketers such as Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvraj, and Sachin playing for the trophy. More than half of the Indian side that played the 2011 world cup has already been retired now.
The former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni who retired last year was much appreciated for his leadership in the 2011 world cup. After winning the 2007 T20 world cup Mahendra Singh Dhoni created history by winning the ODI world cup as well. However, to celebrate this glorious victory and day BCCI shared a mini clip of the 2011 world cup winning moment and netizens are all nostalgic.
