Remembering Sushant Singh Rajput on his first death anniversary with films that celebrate the actor and his art. Read on Platocast.

June 14, 2020, left everyone in complete shock when the news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise hit everyone. Ever since it has not been the same, and the fight for justice continues. It is no secret that Sushant has been a gem of an actor and his work speaks for itself. Rajput is not just a great actor, but a man with multiple talents – a great dancer, an absolute intellect, and also a philanthropist. Sushant has always been an absolute achiever, and he continues to be remembered for all that he did.

On Sushant Singh Rajput’s death anniversary today, we must celebrate him, his journey, and everything he stands for. He made his way from the television screens, right into our hearts, and that changed everything. Sushant wasn’t someone who craved the limelight, for he let his work do the talking. And so, we decided to celebrate the actor today, for his work, the ones that brought him, love.

It is no secret that not many would have thought that Sushant would become the star he is today when he moved to the big screens. But we sure do trust the actor to decide something and make it happen, don’t we? He has been an absolute treat to watch, and the transition from Pavitra Rishta’s Manav to the so many other characters has been phenomenal. Even after all this time, many of us wonder, just how much better would he have done if he was around for a little longer!

Here’s celebrating Sushant Singh Rajput through the characters and films he did:

Kai Po Che

Talk about a successful movie debut, and one cannot deny that his, has been a charm. Abhishek Kapoor truly managed to bring out a gem of an actor through Kai Po Che. Everything that Sushant managed to do with his character of Ishaan, no one else could have. It was just about enough freshness and also his classic on-screen presence.

Detective Byomkesh Bakshy

With the Dibaker Banerjee directorial, Sushant sure decided to take a leap of faith. While the movie did not turn into a huge box office hit, it was a job more than just well done. Perhaps, if the movie was to release at a different time, like now, it could be quite the hit. However, that does not take away the performance that Sushant did and the entire look and feel of the film. He only found success with the biopic, Dhoni: The Untold Story.

The movie may not have been a hit, but Sushant Singh Rajput’s performance was marvelous. He played the role of a local Muslim porter and managed to win everyone over. His feats sure did not stop there as it was there was no stopping the actor.

Another impactful movie from Sushant Singh Rajput, is this tale of the actor as a dacoit. It might have been difficult to picture him in such a role, but he is quite the surprise, isn’t he? While he did convince us that all he needs to prosper are the right kind of roles, this movie only strengthened that belief.

As unfortunate as it may sound, but this movie was one I watched after his demise. Looking at this film made a little more sense than usual, while also leaving one emotional. He sure did ace his roles of a college student and a father. He brought to the screens, diversity, of its kind, one that we continue to celebrate.

If we look at these movies by Sushant Singh Rajput, one will understand just how much is he capable of doing. While he has proven so much more with a variety of his roles, these sure stand out. The actor’s last outing as Dil Bechara, was also another of his films that stay close to one’s heart.
