The holy dip in the Kumbh Mela is one of the most celebrated and popular rituals. Devotees from all around the world come to take this holy bath. However, this year due to a surge in the COVID cases, many criticized the Kumbh Mela gathering and the holy dips. After Kumbh Mela now it’s Ramzan gathering where people were seen violating the COVID-19 norms. Having said that, these religious gatherings have started a war of words on the internet. At the time when netizens were unhappy with the devotees floating COVID norms, now they are questioning why is everyone silent on Ramzan gatherings. This debate has given rise to #BanRamzanGathering on Twitter.
Have a look:
Great move and request by Shri Narendra Modi ji to keep Kumbh Mela as only symbolic to strengthen the fight against Covid. We completely welcome it.

So these hyocrites have started circulating fake videos of gathering. If they had an ounce of sensibility left in them, they would have appealed their own community to stay safe. But then hate always wins when it comes to demonizing Muslims.#BanRamzanGatherings pic.twitter.com/bjFEjW8rWf

A Twitter user also posted a video of a priest saying that the Kumbh Mela would not be cut short and they are going to stay there until 26 of May. He also mentioned that they still have 4 holy baths remaining and according to the ‘parampara’ (tradition) we are going to practice every ritual like every other year.
Why only #BanRamzanGatherings? What about #KumbhCorona #KumbhMela2021 & #Ugadi2021 ?That’s double standards of religious fanatics in #India .Are #KumbhMela attendees not prone to #COVIDSecondWave ?#COVID19India pic.twitter.com/3C25KahJ1S
