Twitter reacts to Delhi Government’s advertisement for oxygen tankers

Amid the shortage of oxygen in Delhi, the Arvind Kejriwal government released a number of print ads in various newspapers for oxygen.

In an unimaginable development, India has become the worst-hit country by the Covid-19 virus. With over 350k cases reported in the last 24 hours, India’s total tally has reached the 17million mark. According to experts, the second wave of Covid-19 has shattered India because of the failure of our health care system. We are currently on the verge of reporting more than 5lakh cases a day. The health care system has failed so badly that we are lacking basic health care facilities such as beds for patients, oxygen supply, and medicines. Maharashtra is currently the worst-hit state to record more than 4 lakh cases till now. After Maharashtra, the capital of our country Delhi is currently facing the aftermath of our dreadful health care system. The shortage of Oxygen is something that every state is facing right now. However, in the recent development, Delhi Government has released print advertisements in various newspapers urging states and organizations to help them by providing oxygen tankers.

Having said that, this move by the Arvind Kejriwal government has sparked an outrage on the internet. The reason behind this outrage was the failure of the Government to handle this pandemic and also to spend almost 150 crores on advertisements in the first 3 months of 2021.

Here’s how netizens reacted to Delhi Government’s advertisement:
