Video of Trevor Noah on India’s COVID-19 situation deserves all your attention

The latest video of Trevor Noah on India's Coronavirus situation, ongoing rallies, has our attention. Read why on Platocast.

India has been reeling with the outcome of the second wave of COVID-19. While a lot is going on, neither the rallies nor the religion (even cricket) has been affected. And well, that is what we are here to talk about. Because who else will, right? Well, someone might. The recent video of Trevor Noah on India talks about the ‘Tsunami’ of COVID in the country. And well, it sure does not have any filter after all! Trevor’s recent video on The Daily Show is titled ‘India’s Tsunami of COVID & U.S.’s Slowing Vaccine Demand.

Trevor started off by talking about how Americans have been taking their vaccines. With the help of some statistics, he showed how there is a reduction in the demand for vaccines in America. However, that is the people’s call, isn’t it? Nonetheless, what Trevor says on India’s crisis, is what is noteworthy.

While I have already been mighty worried about the pandemic, now, I am also worried about how long until this video is pulled down. Why, you may ask! Well, let’s give you a rundown of what does the video of Trevor on India’s COVID-19 crisis has after all!

While he is surprised at how the people in the US aren’t taking the vaccine, he expressed worry about the second wave in India. While highlighting how bad it is, he spoke about the shortage of oxygen, the collapse of healthcare, and of course, the rallies. In fact, he also did have a brief video of the Kumbh Mela and took quite the jibe at PM Narendra Modi. He went on to say, and we quote: You know things are getting bad when the leader’s response to the criticism of his failures is to try and shut down the criticism, not the failures.

Among other things, the video of Trevor Noah on India’s crisis also talks about hashtags like ‘Resign Modi’ trending on Twitter. There’s also this bit where he tries to imitate Modi and makes a statement. He said: We have got to stop the spread…of these mean tweets about me.

While not a lot is being spoken about it on Twitter, some have highlighted how Trevor spoke about farmers’ protest earlier. Though this may not go down very well with a few, more need to speak about all the things Trevor has.
