Yuvraj Singh criticizes Ahmedabad pitch after India beats England, Twitter reacts

Yuvraj Singh criticizes the Ahmedabad pitch after India beats England in the 3rd Test match in Narendra Modi Stadium.

The ongoing Test series between India and England has managed to keep us entertained. While we saw some great batting performance from the visitors in the 1st Test match, India managed to pull off the strings in the 2nd Test in Chennai. However, the 3rd Test match played in the Narendra Modi stadium has created quite a buzz. The newly refurbished stadium had an extremely green surface which gave spin bowlers the upper hand. While the spinners dominated the two days test match, many criticized the pitch as not an equal contest for batting and bowling. Retired Indian All-rounder Yuvraj Singh also criticized the pitch.

Yuvraj’s tweet went like a bullet and rightly struck on to the opinions of Twitteratis. Kevin Pietersen, Michael Vaughan, and Mark Waugh also expressed their opinions on the pitch.

However, being an Indian cricketer the likes of Yuvraj Singh saw a greater backlash. Have a look:

What do you think? Was it Axar and Ashwin’s bowling or the condition of the pitch?
